The BIG Holidays are gone, now what?
There is nothing sadder than a two week old pine Christmas tree laying by the side of the road with pieces of tinsel hanging on for dear life as the wind blows another layer of frost on top of it all. The New Year’s Hype is over, all the excitement is sucked out like air is lost from an old balloon. The commercials are back to being bland brands, and countdown to huge meals, shopping deals, and food delights along with Christmas lights and sequence New Year parties are all over. Even the good fuzzy Christmas songs have grown silent as a real Silent Night! Yes, I am venting. What else can be done about this big let down of holiday addictions?
All the whoopla and anticipation is gone! Now what. The deary long January days settle in and everyone seems to walk on egg shells waiting to see what this new year will bring, how it starts off is usually an indicator as to how it might be all year long. Wouldn’t you agree? Well, we are all in this blah hum bug me until the next holiday which won’t get cracking until the 4th of July with ….yeah you guessed it, fire crackers and fire works… and real fire as we look forward to grilling outdoors. My bathing suit is a long way off and so is my tan!
